I have always been a hoarder when it comes to craft supplies, keeping packaging from household items, that might come in handy for my projects one day. Wrappers, cardboard cylinders, bottle caps, you know what I mean!

When I buy pretty craft supplies, that come with pretty packaging, I can never bare to throw the packaging away. So glad I didn’t throw these gorgeous Vicki Boutin inserts away. These cardboard inserts come with Vicki’s stencils, stickers and die cuts. They are colourful, shiny and durable, why would I not re-purpose them right?

Pretty cards with minimal supplies

From the stencil packaging inserts, I made a bright set of cards, using just these few supplies: Stamps, embossing powders and a bit of white card. See images below.

The sticker sheet packaging, was a great size for a larger card. The card I made from this one, is a bit smaller than a 5 x 7″ card. I just added a stamped sentiment and one of the butterfly stickers, attached to white card and mounted it with foam tape.

I cut this one down a little and attached it to some stamped, white card. Then just added a stamped sentiment and some of the stickers, in the same way as the birthday card above.
